Porcelain soy sauce dish set and soy sauce dispenser
KOEMI | Soy sauce dish set
Koemi is a collection of tableware inspired by both my love for Japanese minimalist aesthetics and Japanese food. Being a sushi enthusiast I often dreamed of creating my own dishes which would celebrate the food that brings me so much joy.
Koemi is a collection characterised by clean lines, smooth textures and a clear contrast between the clay body and the abstract design. I enjoyed playing with the contrast between black and white porcelain and creating absolutely one of a kind patterns. I love knowing that a pattern is so unique that it can't be reproduced and that each piece of the collection has its own character.
Koemi appropriately means "a little smile" in Japanese. I often smile when I eat; it's a pleasure, a privilege and an absolute gift.
The sauce dishes and the sauce dispenser were hand-built with a smooth black porcelain body. The white abstract patterns are created with white porcelain whose translucency allows for the pattern to have that silky and delicate effect.
Dimensions:
Sauce dishes: approx 7.8 cm x 6 cm x 1.6 cm deep (3.1 in x 2.4 in x 0.6 in deep)
Sauce dispenser: approx 8.2 long cm x 6.5 wide cm x 4.7 cm deep (3.2 in x 2.5 in. 1.8 in)
Since all of my pieces are handmade no two items will ever be the same. I hope you will appreciate the uniqueness of each piece
